Elon Musk suggests to spend Dogecoin at McDonald’s
In a recent tweet, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and a supporter of the Dogecoin cryptocurrency, said he was ready to eat a “happy meal” live if McDonald's recognizes Dogecoin as a currency possible for payment.
And although many people thought that a banal joke would not be followed by a sequel, the most recent dialogues on Twitter indicate that this is not the end. McDonald's, in turn, responded to Tesla with a proposal to recognize a fictional cryptocurrency called “Grimacecoin”
The reaction of users was mixed. Some are hoping that the world's largest fast food restaurant chain will reconsider its decision to stop accepting Dogecoin. It is worth noting that the price movement of the value of this cryptocurrency increased by more than 150% when in October last year Elon Musk announced that he was acquiring Twitter. This led to the fact that Dogecoin returned to the list of the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization.
